Amerikanischer Kosmologe; B.S. Physik (Case Western Reserve, 1993), Ph.D. (Brown, 2000), Postdoc am Caltech, seit 2004 an der UC San Diego (Full Professor 2014, Distinguished Professor 2019). Er ist Principal Investigator des **Simons Observatory** und war an POLARBEAR, dem Simons Array und dem ersten BICEP-Teleskop beteiligt, das er konzipierte. Auszeichnungen u. a. Presidential Early Career Award (2006), Buchalter Cosmology Prize (2014), Fellow der American Physical Society (2016). Co-Direktor des Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination.
